OVERVIEW
A high-tech, high performance fount ain solution with crs* for today’s generation of high speed web-offset and sheet-fed presses.
It is easy to install , easy to use, problem-solving product, which addresses all commonly encountered damping problems.
Nova Fount 2020 runs at low water settings with wide latitude, making it easy to set-up and adjusts for optimum performance with different inks, papers and damping systems. Plates and blankets show ultra -thin water films that remain continuous for complete desensitisation.
Water uptake by the ink is tast but controlled for lightning quick attainment of the perfect ink/water balance with excellent over-emulsification resistance.
PROPERTIES
Nova Fount 2020 enables isopropanol usage to be easily reduced by 50% with no noticeable loss of performance and no special operational requirements. Provide reduced costs, improved environmental impact and low isopropanol vapour levels without sacrificing time or increasing waste.
Gives complete calcium control at all levels of water hardness and all paper and ink types. Calcium deposits on roll ers and blankets are completely eliminated with Nova Fount 2020
APPLICATION
Nova fount 2020 is recommended 1, 5 % starting dosage if the water is hard it can be increase up to 3%.
The optimum dosage will vary with the type of press dampening system, water and work being printed and can only be arrived at after some experimentationand experience.
Water quali ty can have a strong effect on the printing quality. A total water hardness of 8-10• dH (degrees German hardness), is regarded as suitable tor offset printing. Hard water increases the pH of the fountain solution. lf the total water hardness is above 14′ dH (> 250 ppm CaC03), use of water conditioning technology should be considered.
* The information on this technical data sheet is based on our general experience. The tests are carried out under controlled laboratory conditions. The information may change as conditions change. The performance of the product and the suitability of the print made depends on the printing conditions and the quality of the printed materials. For this reason, the statements in this document do not necessarily imply a performance guarantee for a particular application.
